Never buy an iPHONE 3G

Well I got an interesting mail and thought of sharing it in here, this topic isnt anyways related to Nokia Nseries but it lists out the reasons why one should not buy an iPHONE 3G and buy a Nokia Nseries phone.

"!!! BEWARE OF BUYING iPhone 3G!!! Friends..... those of you in India planning for iPhone... THINK TWICEBEFORE MAKING A DECISION... The short comings of iPhone are endless...· No video calling,· No AD2P on the Bluetooth, (ie wireless stereo headset support)· CAN'T share ANY (mp3, images, videos. ...) files via bluetooth,· Can't use as a wireless modem, (you pay ridiculous datacharges to activate internet on your phone, but cannot connect it toyour PC and browse when you are at home)· No copy and paste,(cannot copy a part of a.... say.... email& send it....have to type it out yourself)· No 3.2 or 5 megapixel camera,(the 2MP camera it carries isworst camera i've ever seen..... photos look like they have come outof a VGA camera)· No video recording with camera,· No front camera,· No flash.· No JAVA support· No physical keyboard (BELIEVE me! this alone is adealbreaker. ..touch keyboard as good as it looks...once you use itthen only you come to know about the importance of having a hardkeypad)· No 3G network yet in India..so why pay for expensive 3Gphone if you cant use its 3G services ... so, for India, iPhone 2.0 isno better than its first version· No removable battery. (You cannot change battery. Have tosend it to apple outlet.. Come on now!!!!...This is not an iPod. Its abloody phone. You cannot live without phone for 2-3 days)· No haptic feedback and· Cannot send MMS,· Can't use as external storage device (16 GB of utterwaste..next time you go to your friend's house & find some interestingsongs, movies, etc...sorry you cannot connect your '16 GB' phone andshare it!!!! Apple apparently has a solution.. " BUY MUSIC & MOVIESFROM iTUNES STORE "..... Give me a break will you APPLE!!!)· No FM radio,· Can't use your mp3 files as ringtones,(This is heights man!!!)· Cannot insert any other SIM card….· Completely tied to iTunes... Connect to your friend's iTunes& you risk erasing everything on your phone.· List goes on & on & on….We Indians are used to these features. Most of our phones already havethese features. we cannot do with out them.... i mean can you imaginepaying so much for a phone with which you cannot transfer files viabluetooth. what age is this ...STONE AGE???Some features may be activated by jailbreak.. But why the hell shouldyou risk losing your warranty after paying so much. And want to add third party softwares??. . YOU HAVE TO BUY THEM FROMiTUNES STORE ONLY!!! . (Shell out more money). Apple is a bloodycontrol freak. Dont surrender your freedom to it.Its good for american market (who have no idea what mobilefreedom/choice is) which is in stone age compared to asian/europeanmarkets. When they want to buy a phone, they have to go to networkoperators and buy only those phones that are available on thatnetwork. & stick to that company till their contract expires. You wantto change carriers? Not before paying damages, & buying another phoneon the other network again. On the contrary, we in India have so much freedom. We go to handsetshops & buy which ever phone we like. Then go to carriers.. checkoutthe plans & buy SIM.. Dont like the plan or rival carrier came up witha better plan???? EASY .. just remove & replace the SIM.Apple are trying to IMPOSE THEIR MODEL ON US riding on the hype iPhonehas created in the US (yes it was a flop in Europe .thats why Applenever talks about its sales in Europe).Dont fall for the subsidized price of iPhone... CHECKOUT THE DATA PLANATTACHED TO ITS SIM ..they will recover the cost through ridiculousdata plans. Bill might come to around Rs 2500/month.( ATLEASTAMERICANS PAY THAT MUCH)Let me clear one thing though.. iphone is the best looking phone (itstouch interface is nothing like you have ever seen ), best browsingexperience out there no doubt .... ( others are fast catchingup..check out the android demo at Google IO 2008).... BUT AFTER A FEWDAYS IT ALL COMES DOWN TO FUNCTIONALITY. ..Those of who buy it... You will be most happy for atmost a week...then, MARK MY WORDS...YOU WILL START REGRETTING IT!!!
My advice...Rather go for any of the Nokia Nseries phones !! (powered by Symbian). Still notconvinced by then...by all means go for iPhone....

Nokia trying to grab attention: N79 spy pic

Nokia is trying to grab attention by various means as iPHONE 3G seems to have taken lots of eye balls rolling these days. Here is the pic of so claimed N79.

XpressMedia 5800 "Tube" doesnt seems to be an iPHONE Killer

Here is the pic of so called iPHONE killer with stylus which clearly signifies that the interface would not be as "touchy" as iPHONE but would be like an typical stylus interface phone. Nokia is waking up after ages with a stylus stick??

May be thats N85???

I am not sure that which Nseries model is that but these are spy pics of so claimed N85.

Is that Nokia N85??

The above photo was found in Nokia’s patent applications last December. The image resembles that the phone should have 6 or 8 MP camera (isn't clear though) and it has a unique slider design, looks a bit like N93. I am sure that it would be launched only in 1st quarter of 2009 . Lets wait and watch whats the surprise.....

Nokia N82 wins renowned TIPA "Best Mobile Imaging Device in Europe" Award 2008

Nokia today announced that the Nokia N82 multimedia computer has been awarded the 'Best Mobile Imaging Device in Europe 2008' by TIPA (Technical Image Press Association) - Europe's largest photo and imaging press association.

"The Nokia N82 is a compact multimedia computer that integrates GPS, web, video and music functions around a 5 Megapixel camera with a high-speed, f/2.8 autofocus lens," the TIPA jurors said. "This Carl Zeiss Tessar focuses from 10cm to infinity and produces sharp prints up to and beyond A4 size. Several scene modes are also available to optimize the Nokia N82 for great images, whether shooting portraits or night shots," TIPA continued. Other Nokia N82 features highlighted by the jurors are the Xenon flash and 20X digital zoom.

"We are very excited to hear that the Nokia N82 has been recognized for its excellent imaging features," says Juha Kokkonen, Director for Nokia Nseries devices. "The Nokia N82 is an excellent example of how converged devices entirely change the way people contribute to and share on the internet by combining strong camera capabilities with built-in A-GPS and an array of connectivity features."

Taking advantage of its integrated A-GPS functionality and high resolution camera, the Nokia N82 automatically geotags images with capture location metadata, making it possible to view the capture location on a map either on the Internet or on the device itself. When it comes to sharing, people can upload their pictures or videos directly from their Nokia N82 to services like Share on Ovi, Flickr or YouTube.

The features of the Nokia N82 include:

- 5 megapixel camera with Carl Zeiss optics and Xenon flash
- Geotagging
- Possibility to capture print quality photos and DVD-like quality video clips
- Wireless LAN connectivity and HSDPA offering high download speeds
- Integrated A-GPS and access to maps for more than 150 countries

The Nokia N82 supports microSD memory cards of up to 8GB which allow the device to hold up to 3600 high-resolution pictures, 5 hours of high quality video capture, up to 6000 songs or all of the available regions for the Nokia Maps application.

TIPA was founded in 1991 as an independent, non-profit association of European photo and imaging magazines. At present, TIPA includes 31 member magazines from twelve countries.
